Prism is a lightweight 3 Dimensional suspended acoustic product for ceilings and atriums.
Each 'Prism' can be suspended independently or clustered together in groups to create the illusion of a suspended ceiling.
Prism was designed with a single fixing point that allows optimum functionality with minimal impact on the aesthetics. Produced using large scale tooling based in the UK.
The Collective Agency commissioned Jones & Partners to develop their first venture into an innovative acoustic system.
Our experience has led to an extensive understanding of the science behind acoustics, the key parameters to dampening sound, the material science involved and the rigorous testing processes.
Jones & Partners could call on sector-specific manufacturing partners, enabling our concepts to awaken whilst de-risking the final product. The tiles can be placed on ceilings and walls. Additionally, it only has a 4 - 6 week lead-time.
This project allowed the team to further explore the potential of EchoPanel® PET in an acoustic environment. It enabled us to investigate how sound interacts with recycled PET and design appropriately.
