Thinking Quietly for Thinking Works is an open plan system that allows individuals to reduce noise pollution. The Thinking Quietly products were created as a range. We developed a table with an acoustic canopy and a modular working system.
The Work Bay is made from modular screen panels that are CNC machined and glued in jigs to ensure rigidity and consistency in manufacture.
Each panel can be joined quickly to create Work Bays of varying sizes and configurations. Additionally, we conceptualised the innovative design of the Cone of Silence which provides a dedicated quiet zone for pure focus and privacy.
The space has been developed to escape the noisy work environment while creating a productive space.
Acoustic materials were chosen to create a balanced sound environment, while a stylish retro design perfectly fits the modern office aesthetic.
This was a highly enjoyable project for us as a team. It was an opportunity to create a working system that combines the beautiful visuals of timber and newly emerging acoustic materials to create a stylish and functional product.
